New bio-insecticide, Empedobacter Brevis 10billion spores/ml SC

EB (Empedobacter Brevis) is a bacterial bio-insecticide with excellent stomach action to Lepidopterous insects.


Brief History of EB:

2001, EB was found effective on Lepidoptera insects in a cabbage field.

2003, strain EB GXW15-4 was extracted and found most effective on Lepidoptera.

2004, strain EB GXW15-4 was awarded patent inChina.

2009, method for industrial production of EB was worked out.

2010, invention of bio-insecticide EB was awarded gold medal in China International Patent and Brand Expo.

2010, Certificate of Registrion for EB 1x1010 spores/ml SC was issued by Ministry of Agriculture.


Characteristics and Feature:

EB is bacterial bio-insecticide, it is NOT chemical insecticide.

EB kills Lepidoptera within 1-4 days and control is 78%- 94% in trials.

EB is organic product for it is made by fermentation and no chemical adjuvant is added in.

EB is safe to human, animals, birds, fishes and bees, but dangerous to silkworm.

EB is stable in normal transportation and storage conditions.

EB has better control on Lepidoptera than BT (Bacillus Thuringiensis).


Target Insects:

On rice: rice leaf roller, rice shell pest, rice stem borer etc.

On vegetables: diamondback moth, common leafworm, beet armyworm, cabbage butterfly, tobacco budworm, cabbage webworm, cotton bollworm etc.

On other crops: tea geometer, corn borer, sugarcane borer, pine caterpillar etc.


Application method:

EB is used to control Lepidoptera at larva stage. EB should be applied in egg-hatching period for borer insects. The rate of EB 1x1010 spores/ml SC is 900-1200 ml/ha. Dilute EB with water by 600-800 times and spray uniformly onto leaves. Thorough coverage on both sides of leaves is recommended.
