1) Cyhalofop-butyl

Biochemistry: Fatty acidsynthesis inhibitor, by inhibition of acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase).Selectivity between grasses and broad-leaves is attributed to the form(s) ofACCase present and the compartmentalisation of these forms within plant cell

Modeof Action: Selective post-emergence herbicide obsorbed mainly by foliage andtranslocates to the stem and roots of grasses.

Uses: For post-emergencecontrol of grass weeds in rice.

2) Ethoxysulfuron.

Biochemistry: Branched chain amino acid synthesis (ALS or AHAS) inhibitor. Acts byinhibiting biosynthesis othe essential amino acids valine and isoleucine, hence stopping cell division and plant growth. Selectivity is Due to differential metabolism in crop and weed (H Koeher & G Dickerhof, Proc. Br.Crop Prot. Conf. -Weeds, 1995, 1, 249). Metabolic basis of crop selectivity insulfonylureas reviewed (M. K. Koeppe & H. M. Brown, Agro-Food-Industry, 6,9-14 (1995)).

Uses: For broad-leave

Mixing and dilution:
Add therequired volume of product to the half-filled spray tank while agitating thewater, then fill water to the required level. Continue agitation at all timesduring spraying, do not stop agitation until the tank is completely empty.

Sprayimmediately after mixing
